About Heavy Machinery Group
An engineering company built around analytical and control systems: gas analysis systems and sample conditioning, analyzer and control cabinets, PLC and HMI software, and the electrical and mechanical documentation that goes with them.
What HMG is
Heavy Machinery Group — HMG — engineers industrial gas analysis systems, takes on control and electrical engineering for process equipment, and supplies industrial equipment and components, either as part of a system or on their own.
Our work is concentrated in the stages where decisions are expensive to reverse: defining the measurement or control task, specifying equipment against it, designing the assembly and documenting it well enough that the people who maintain it are not guessing.
How we work
We start from the application, not from a product line. For an analytical system that means the stream, the conditions and the installation before any instrument is named. For a control system it means the functional description before any code is written.
Scope is agreed explicitly. Engineering only, engineering with equipment supply, or a wider scope through installation, commissioning and support — all are possible, and which of them applies is written into the contract rather than assumed.
Engineering capabilities
The work our team is set up to carry out, and examples of the system types we have engineered:
- Analyzer cabinets and integrated analytical systems
- Sample conditioning and sample extraction systems
- Sampling systems with probe enclosures
- PLC control cabinets and control software
- Electrical and mechanical documentation
- Analyzer shelter for a continuous emission monitoring system
- Control cabinet for a data acquisition and handling system
- Hydrogen monitoring system
- Oxygen analysis system
Examples of engineering work the team has carried out. Where your installation requires a specific standard or approval, we confirm in writing what we can and cannot deliver.
Engineering tools
Design and documentation are produced in the tools the deliverables are expected in:
- AutoCAD
- EPLAN Electric P8
- EPLAN Pro Panel
- PTC Creo Parametric
How a project runs
Engineering, equipment supply, integration, commissioning and continued support. Each engagement takes the stages it needs — the scope is agreed before any commitment is made.
Application review
We go through the measurement or control task, the process conditions and the constraints of the installation before proposing anything.
Engineering and documentation
Specification, electrical and mechanical design, drawings and the documentation set agreed for the project.
Equipment selection and supply
Instruments, controllers and components selected against the task, quoted with their lead times as confirmed by the source.
Assembly and integration
Cabinet build, tubing and wiring, software configuration and factory testing of the assembled system.
Installation and commissioning
Site work, loop checks, configuration and functional testing — carried out within the scope and arrangements agreed for the engagement.
Handover and support
As-built documentation, operator and maintenance handover, warranty terms stated in the contract, and optional continued support.
Experience
The founder has approximately fifteen years of project experience in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. That is individual professional experience, held by the person rather than by the US company.
Project references are published with the customer named or described anonymously as permitted, and always state the contracting company and the scope HMG carried out.
Start with the technical question
The most productive first contact is a description of the measurement or control task. We will tell you where we can help and where we cannot.
